The off-road Subaru scene has been something we have always been interested in.  Seeing individuals take a stock Impreza, throw it on some Forester suspension with beefed up wheels and tires is something only an adrenaline seeking individual would desire.  Dakotah Bennett has taken a little more extreme route with his Bugeye 2.5RS.  Dakotah purchased his car over 2 years ago as his first Boxer powered machine.  He bought it with the mindset of using it as a daily commuter to work and back, along with going on snowboarding trips – but that didn’t last long.  Dakotah said he enjoys the Subaru community the most out of everything, he states, “no matter how you modify your Subaru, there is always an awesome respect for each other’s builds.”

Dakotah has done an extensive build list to prepare the car to take on anything and everything in the southern California terrain.  He has custom-fabricated front and rear tube bumpers, along with a rear roll bar with a tire carrier linked to the cage.  He even made custom lateral links also to get his alignment perfectly dialed in for the off-road excursions.  He has 16×7″ Sparco Terra wheels with 25mm ISC spacers wrapped in 215/65/16 General Grabbers, which not only makes it look cool, but makes it an absolute beast in uncharted lands.  The interior also hasn’t been left untouched.  Dakotah has added a Sparco bucket seat with Sparco harnesses wrapped up to the half cage for maximum safety precautions.  He also removed most of the interior to save on weight where it isn’t necessary.

In the future, Dakotah plans on swapping out the current EJ253 for a Toyota 1JZ with a rear wheel drive conversion, along with a custom A-arm front suspension and rear short course link set up, concluding to a full tube chassis front to back with all OEM body panels.  Dakotah has a set an extremely high standard in the off-road Subaru community.  Between following his dreams in starting an off-road fabrication business, Endless Horizon Fabrication, (which I greatly encourage you all to check out) and seeing the progress and passion he has is absolutely nothing less than inspiring.  To see more, check him out on Instagram @catchmeboostin and @endless_horizon_fabrication and once again, thanks to Dakotah for letting us share your journey!
